Sometimes it is nice to invite people to things even if you know they won’t be able to make it. I only say this because I know the feeling of… Well feeling left out (even if from afar). I think that, for people who you love in your life, it is important to always let that person know you are thinking about them and if a situation happens to work out and they happen to be near you, then frickin’ awesome! Come to whatever it is I have going on.
And if this is something you are going to rant about, try to keep it less specific. You might say, “If you don’t live within a half hour of me, don’t invite me to stuff on FB.” Instead of saying, “You live 15 hours away. I’m not coming to your birthday party.” It is very likely you are going to hurt someone’s feelings with your very specifically directed lack of tact.
Bands from all over invite people to shit all the time. No one ever complains about that.

First day of training course:
It is so beautiful to see a room full of compassionate people with big hearts who want to make a difference in the lives of others. This is going to be such a rewarding experience. Difficult.. But rewarding.
